Therapy to connect more deeply with yourself and others.
And when I say deeply, I mean it. I’m a DEEP trained therapist. Dynamic Enriched Experiential Psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach that helps to undo the feelings of aloneness that so often arise from relational trauma — and in a relationship, that aloneness can have a particular ache to it. It's that distance between people who love each other, but can't quite reach each other. DEEP combines interpersonal neurobiology, emotion theory, developmental sciences, and attachment theory in order to reacquaint you with your most innate wisdom. In other words, you’ll get to know yourself (your “self” self) a whole lot better.
About Me
Hello, and welcome! I'm a therapist dedicated to creating a safe and affirming space for individuals and couples in Texas and Georgia. With a Master's in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, I have over a decade of experience supporting queer and trans clients, as well as those exploring polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships. And yes, I work with straight and monogamous folks too!
My theoretical orientation draws from interpersonal neurobiology, emotion theory, developmental science, and attachment theory. I've completed Candyce Ossefort-Russell's year-long DEEP Theory and Skills Training Course — and deepened that foundation through a four-day Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) Externship and ongoing EFCT Core Skills training. Couples and relationship work is some of my favorite work: I love helping people find their way back to each other, get unstuck from old patterns, and build deeper connection.
My approach is integrative and relational, which means I'm staying present and feeling with clients, as opposed to intellectualizing or only talking our way through things. I stay attuned to what's left unsaid and bring that into the room with us. My background as a macro social worker also shapes how I show up: I pay attention to how the intersections of race, gender, and sex factor into the struggles clients bring to the room. Many of the people I work with carry deep wounds from homophobia, transphobia, racism, and classism (not an exhaustive list). With this in mind, my goal is to create a reparative space where clients can feel a sense of belonging and begin to heal.
Outside of the therapy office, I enjoy running trails, reading, and learning to make things out of clay. Oh yeah, you might be wondering how to pronounce my last name. It's like le-jay, with a soft g instead of a j.
